2. Talacauvery & Bhagamandala
As an origin of one of the Spata Sindhus of India, river Cauvery / Kaveri holds a very important position for the geological, environmental and religious sentiments connected to this biodiverse region of south India which includes southern part of Karnataka to Kaerela and Tamil Nadu. Talacauvery or Talakaveri is located in Brahmagiri hill in Bhagamandala, 50 Km from Madikeri. Stories from past have very interesting connection on how rivery Cauvery came into existence and is celebrated as Kaveri Sankramana in the month of October by Kodagu locals and thousands other Pilgrims, who visit this place to be enchanted, witnessing rise of spring fountain head when water stream gushes up. Indeed, deeply seated in the heart of the religion and culture of this place it is truly an expression of love by mother nature.
3. Dubare Elephant Camp
Known for its Ecotourism Dubare Elephant camp is located at the bank of River Cauvery. It provides reasons to get involved with this beautiful creature and listen and connect with their expression & fun. One might experience that enchanting connection as deep as our age old friendship with Elephants as humans.

5. Rajas Seat & Nehru Mantap
Catch a sight of royal indulgence of Kings of Kodagu. Get into the feel of rejuvenation which Kings of Kodagu once enjoyed. Sitting with their queens amid beautiful garden and watching sunrays shimmering over the hill range during sunrise and sunset. At an elevated position, it provides a beautiful panoramic view of the valley. Morning sunrise, that first light, breaking through cold mist, shining like a diamond, the entire valley slowly but gradually, coming out to express its beauty, that is the feeling one must catch.
6. Madikeri Fort and Palace
Madikeri Fort is 250 years old and has a palace inside. Initially, built by Muddu Raja in 17 Century using mud and since then has been rebuilt several times. First by Tipu Sultan using granite stones then by King Ligarajendra Woodyar II with mortar and Bricks and later by British. With time it went through some gradual changes and some radical transformations, standing still witnessing wars and passing from one authority to another. And so it carries so much of culture and history to bestow tourist with stories of that transformation.
7. Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple) – Bylakuppe
Home to over 5000 monks & nuns of Sangha Community of Tibbetian Buddhists.
It was established in 1963 in a land of 80 sq feel and was carved out of the Jungle and made out of Bamboo. Now a full grown community with hospitals, School and temples, a rare peek into the world of buddhist monks can serve as enlightening sight to behold.
8. Nalknad Palace
A summer place and hunting lodge for Kings of Coorg, built around late 17th century, it is located at the base on Tadiandamol peak (highest peak in Coorg).
9. Chelavara Falls
A natural waterfall formed by a small stream, a tributary of Kaveri/ Cauvery near Cheyandane village.
10. Mallalli Waterfalls at Mahadev Pette
kumaradhara river is the source of 100 feet high, Mallalli falls, located in the northern region of kodagu district.
11. Nagarhole National Park
One of the most exhilarating experiences with highly rich biodiversity of flora and fauna including Golden Jackal, Bengal Tiger, Panther, Gaur, Sambar, Spotted deer, Grey Mongoose, Civet cat, Striped Hyena, Indian bison, Indian leopard, Asiatic wild dogs, sambar, barking deer, four-horned antelopes, wild boar, palm civet, brown mongoose, striped-necked. mongoose, black-naped hare, mouse deer, Indian pangolin, red giant flying squirrel, Indian porcupine, Gray Langur and Indian giant flying squirrel and Sloth Bear. Vegetation such as sandalwood, silver oak, rosewood, crocodile bark, Lagerstroemia lanceolata, Indian kino tree, rosewood andaxlewood, Indian gooseberry and beechwood,horse nettles, tick clover, golden shower tree, flame of the forest, teak and clumping bamboo are found in abundance here.
12. Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary
On North-west to Nagarhole national park lies Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary. The primary vegetation of the sanctuary includes evergreen and semi-evergreen forests, shoal forest patches in grasslands and bamboo.
